Well that time of the year is almost over where managers, employees and HR are all stressed out about performance and salary reviews. We all have mixed emotions about this time consuming and sometimes daunting process.

One of our cutting edge clients does something refreshingly different when it comes to performance reviews. There are employee led career and job performance discussions that take place when the employee requests one. So the employee is engaged and driving the process and has an appetite for the feedback. It works really well for them and helps identify those motivated to advance their career.

There is no one size fits all performance management system. You really need to implement something that works well in your culture.
